Great question! Pi keeps track of our chat as we go, so it can build context and feel like a real conversation. But if a chat gets really long, it may summarize past messages to stay on track—this helps keep things smooth and focused.
While Pi remembers the flow of our talk during a session, it won’t recall unlimited history perfectly. If you want to pick up where you left off, just tap back into a previous chat—it’s all saved and organized for you:
📱 iOS
→ Hover over the Pi™ logo (top left) until it becomes a two-rectangle menu icon
→ Tap it to slide out the navigation bar
→ Your full chat history appears in reverse chronological order—just tap any to continue
🌐 Web
→ Hover over the Pi™ logo (top left) until the menu icon appears
→ Click to open the left navigation panel
→ Scroll through your chat list and jump into any past conversation
🤖 Android
→ Hover over the Pi™ logo (top left) until it becomes a two-rectangle menu icon
→ Tap it to slide out the navigation bar
→ Your full chat history appears in reverse chronological order—just tap any to continue
Want to make sure something’s saved? Feel free to copy important details. And if something seems off, you can always report it (see how in the FAQ question How do I report a bug, share feedback, or get help with Pi?). We’re always learning! 💙
