What types of things does Pi remember?
Pi focuses on remembering things that are lastingly true about you — the kind of details that would still be relevant months from now. For example:
Your name, your home city, and your family members (all with your permission)
Food preferences, allergies, and dietary needs
Hobbies, interests, and things you’re passionate about
Your job, field of work, or what you’re studying
Communication preferences (like whether you prefer short answers or detailed explanations)
Ongoing goals, routines, or habits
Pi will use this memory to improve its conversation with you. Pi will gather this memory from your regular chats. When chatting with Pi, and say “Remember [what you’d like Pi to remember],” and this memory will be added. You may have to repeat this to Pi to lock in the memory.
What does Pi NOT remember?
Pi is designed to skip things that are temporary, one-off, or not useful for future conversations. For example:
Fleeting plans: “I’m going to the store tonight.”
One-time events: “I watched a movie last night.”
Things you’re just thinking about but haven’t committed t
If Pi has remembered something you’d rather it didn’t, just tell it. You can say something like “Please forget that I live in [your home city]” or “Remove the memory about [your hair color].” Pi will forget that memory.
Manage Pi’s memory explicitly
You can add, delete, and update Pi's memories by going to Settings > Account > Manage Memories. If you're using Pi through a computer browser, you can also give Inflection AI your feedback on Pi's memory accuracy with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down:
Thumbs up means that Pi remembered correctly.
Thumbs down means that Pi did not remember correctly. However Thumbs down does not mean that Pi will forget that specific memory. You will need to use the Delete button to delete Pi's memory.
Thumbs up/down button is not available in Pi mobile apps
