Draft with Pi - FAQ

Find the words for a message that sounds like you.

Draft with Pi helps you reply to a message, improve something you’ve written, or work out what to say. Bring a rough idea or an incoming message, then shape the draft with Pi until you’re happy with it.

Using Draft with Pi

How do I get started?

Open Activities and choose Draft with Pi; on mobile, swipe through the activity cards if needed. Choose Reply to a message, Fix something I wrote, Help me figure out what to say, or Something else. Paste the message or draft, or describe who you’re writing to and what you want to say. A rough idea is enough.

How do I refine a draft?

Choose Shorter, Warmer, More direct, More casual, or Try another, or tell Pi what to change. To adjust the wording yourself, select Edit, make your changes, then Done. Select an underlined phrase to see why Pi used it. On the web, Earlier draft → Show lets you revisit an earlier version.

Can Pi remember my writing style?

Yes. Open the activity menu (⋯ at the top right on mobile) → Customize → Your voice. Describe your style in up to 1,000 characters and select Save. To remove it, clear the field and save again. If Pi offers to save a style during a chat, choose Save to Your voice or Not now. Your voice is optional and saved separately from your conversations.

How do I use and keep my draft?

Review names, dates, and other details, then select Copy and paste the text into your messaging or email app. You send it yourself. Copying does not save the conversation.

A Temporary chat disappears when you close it unless you choose Save to Recents when offered. Once labeled Saved, reopen it from Activities → Recents on web or mobile. Temporary chat describes whether you can return to the conversation; reporting it retains it for review.

How do I start over or delete a saved conversation?

Open the activity menu (⋯ on mobile) → New message. Save the current conversation first if you want to return to it. To delete a saved conversation, open it and choose Delete from that menu. Your saved writing voice is managed separately under Customize → Your voice.

When something isn’t right

What if the draft doesn’t feel right?

Tell Pi what’s off: too formal, too long, not your voice, or missing the point. Ask for a specific change or choose Try another. If Pi asks for a sample of your writing, you can share one or choose Skip.

Why can’t I find a previous draft?

Check Activities → Recents. Temporary chats aren’t kept when you close them unless you save them. If you copied the draft, check where you pasted it. If a conversation you saved is missing, contact support.

What should I do if copying or loading doesn’t work?

Try Copy again and check that you’re copying the latest version. Before reloading or leaving a temporary session, save it if the control is available or keep a copy of the wording you need. If the problem continues, contact support and describe what happened.

How do I report a problem with a response?

On the web, right-click Pi’s message and choose Report. Choose a reason, add details if you’d like, and submit. The report form explains that submitting sends the entire conversation to Inflection AI for review.

Where can I get more help?

Use Pi’s Help & feedback → Request support. Include whether you’re on mobile or web, which step failed, and any error you saw. For more options, see Pi’s help and feedback guide.
